STYA Program

SUCCESSFULLY TRANSITIONING YOUTH TO ADOLESCENCE

The STYA Program is designed to provide youth with additional tools and support systems to ease the transition from youth to adolescence. Our goal is to help your child make smart and healthy choices as they move into their teenage years. In order to do so we introduce youth to issues of nutrition, body image, relationships, puberty and gender roles. Additionally, we provide students with academic support and students participate in a variety of activities including art projects, gardening, sports, field trips, technology, team-building, and much more!

 Students Participate in:

·        Academic support.

· Group discussions for boys & girls to talk, learn, and have fun.

· Educates boy & girls separately about the changes pre-teens experience.

· Life skills and social skill building.

· Field trips to cultural and educational sites.

· Mentoring and adult-supervised activities.

· Parent Workshops and Classes.
