Style Engineers

 

What: Style Engineers is a project-based summer camp that utilizes apparel design as a vehicle for introducing middle school girls to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) approach to learning. The 2016 camp is created in partnership between Girls Inc. at the YWCA in Syracuse and the Everson Museum of Art.

The program culminates in a fashion show in which parents and friends are invited to share in the learning and creativity of the students. Teams present their ideas and the processes of creating the final fashion designs, empowering the girls and building self-confidence. For more information on past camps please see:
