2020 YWCA Champions of Diversity
“Building an Equitable Society from Community to Companies – Action is Key”
The 2020 YWCA Champions of Diversity Award will be presented to residents, community leaders, and professionals that have engaged in significant efforts to promote diversity and eliminate racism locally or at a national level. These actions capture the YWCA’s Mission of Eliminating Racism & Empowering Women and strengthen the fabric of our community by helping to advance opportunities for all.
Awardees will be publicly recognized and inducted into the YWCA Diversity Achievers Academy during the organization’s 22nd Annual Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism and Promote Diversity to be held on Thursday April 25th at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. The Day of Commitment is an event that promotes progress and equips training participants with the tools to contribute to the larger goal of working to eradicate racism and form a more inclusive and equitable society. In addition, the 2020 Awardees will be featured in the YWCA’s E-letter and social media platforms. The Awardee’s company or organizational logo will appear in each Awardee entry when published online.
