Spirit of American Women Celebration
Mark your calendars–our Annual Spirit of American Women Celebration will return on Thursday, November 16, at the Collegian Hotel and Suites! This event will run from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and include hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert, empowering speakers, and networking with peers who have a shared commitment to building a more equitable community.
The Spirit of American Women Celebration will highlight the empowerment and accomplishments of women and girls in our community. Iris St. Meran of NewsChannel 9 will serve as our Mistress of Ceremonies. The program will include:
- Keynote address by Stephanie Crockett, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mower
- Impact story by a member of the YWCA Women’s Residence Program
Additionally, this year we will honor three local women for their efforts to positively impact our community through volunteerism, altruism and advocacy, and STEM enrichment. Nominations are now closed and our 2023 award winners will be announced soon–stay tuned for more details!
Last year, four local women were honored with the Spirit of American Women Awards. Their actions reflect our work to empower girls and women and strengthen the fabric of our community by helping advance opportunities for all. Our 2022 Spirit of American Women Award Winners were:
