Block Party for Eliminating Racism

The Block Party for Eliminating Racism is an opportunity to promote inclusivity, enhance understanding, and raise awareness about the resources available to our community.

This free community event will take place on Friday, August 23rd, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. outside the YWCA’s main office, specifically on the 400 block of Douglas Street and the 300 block of Graves Street. The streets will be temporarily closed for the festivities.

Our aim is to bring together the residents of the Northside community through food, music, and fun activities for children. Attendees can partake in face painting, slushies, cotton candy, BBQ, local youth performances, raffles, giveaways, and more!

Additionally, community organizations and vendors will have tables at the event to showcase the resources they provide.

Save the date! We are excited to see you on Friday, August 23rd!
