Youth Sports Specialist

Part-Time | Salary: $16,900
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3–6 PM + various hours on Saturdays
Department: Youth Leadership & Development Programs
Reports to: Director of Girls Inc./Youth Programs

About the Role

The Youth Sports Specialist helps design and deliver YWCA soccer and Girls Inc. programs year-round. This role blends coaching, youth development, and administrative support to create safe, fun, and empowering experiences for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement YWCA soccer and Girls Inc. programming

  • Coach assigned teams and assist with projects and outreach

  • Track attendance, registrations, and program data

  • Help plan and coordinate enrichment programs and events

  • Maintain records for reports and grants (attendance, demographics, incidents)

  • Manage program supplies and materials

  • Communicate with parents and families about activities

  • Ensure safe environments and coverage when needed

  • Participate in YWCA and partner trainings

  • Represent YWCA in community activities

Qualifications

  • Experience in youth development or related programs

  • Knowledge of youth issues and experience with social-emotional learning

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, psychology, or sociology
Required: Valid NYS driver’s license
