The Spirit of American Women Celebration highlights the empowerment and accomplishments of women and girls in our community. The evening includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert, empowering speakers, and networking with peers who have a shared commitment to building a more equitable community.

Expanding Your Horizons is a hands-on career exploration day tailored for girls ages 5-10, aiming to introduce them to a variety of engaging and exciting careers.

The Block Party for Eliminating Racism is an opportunity to bring together the residents of the Northside community through food, music, and fun activities for children. Attendees can partake in face painting, slushies, cotton candy, BBQ, local youth performances, raffles, giveaways, and more.

The Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism and Promote Diversity consists of morning DEI workshop trainings and is followed by a luncheon in the Persian Terrace of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown where we honor three local Champions of Diversity who are actively working to create a more equitable community in Central New York.

The Walk to End Racism is one step forward we can all take to create lasting change. We walk together from the YWCA Main Office Building to the Onondaga County Courthouse. When we work together to identify issues, understand complexities, and develop solutions, we can and will transform Central New York for the better.

Girls’ Summit is a hands-on career exploration day that introduces students in grades 5th to 10th to non-traditional fields in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (S.T.E.A.M.). The day includes a series of workshops, a keynote address, and a women in business panel focused on opportunities in S.T.E.A.M.
